Peajack is a humpback whale that was found dead off the coast of Brier Island N.S. several weeks ago. She was a much loved and well known whale, and many hearts are heavy with her loss. This piece was carved to honor her memory and support the men and women who work tirelessly to disentangle these whales and work to prevent future entanglements. All proceeds from this sale (100%) will be donated to Fundy East Whale Rescue.
This wall piece depicts Peajack, carved from Wenge and Aspen. She swims on a background of deeply figured Ambrosia Maple and has been finished with walnut oil, varnish oil and beeswax. There are tow recessed holes on the back for easy hanging on any wall. Rip Peajack. I will ship this item to Canada if needed.
